The Brief
To bring the vision of the American Society of Nephrology to life we needed to create a film which spoke strongly to nephrology professionals. Using a motivational script and engaging visual language, our film had to evoke memories and inspire passion.
The Explainer Video
This inspirational film highlighted the mentors who have supported nephrologists and encouraged nephrologists to aim higher through good leadership.
Our film did this by using a combination of powerful scripting and storytelling, alongside an uplifting voiceover and music. Charming illustrations and engaging animation completed our approach to this explainer video. Together these elements made a whiteboard explainer video that was able to strike a chord and connect with the experiences of nephrologists while also painting a positive picture of the future.
Effective use of visual language was key; the tubes of a dialysis machine allowed us to map the USA and show the scale of the organisation while daily scenes captured in panels allowed us to present moments every nephrologist could identify with. This was taken to a new level through visual metaphors such as four hands representing different demands pulling at a nephrologist, indicating the pressures they experience. Through all of these aspects, our explainer video was able to encapsulate what it is to be a nephrologist and show what was possible.
