XPertDPO
Your Trusted Partner for Compliance
XPertDPO came to us looking for an engaging animation to clearly convey their Data Compliance and Protection services. What unfolded was an enjoyable and productive collaboration that proved even a subject that may seem dry, like GDPR, could be infused with fun.
The Brief
GDPR came into force on May 25, 2018, complicating compliance obligations for many companies. In this climate, XPertDPO aimed to create a film that would resonate deeply with clients in various situations—whether they were already facing compliance issues or eager to avoid potential pitfalls.
The target audience included any company lacking the expertise, time, or resources to navigate the jargon of data protection. The XPertDPO team wanted to position themselves as a reassuring guide and comforting presence to companies overwhelmed by GDPR compliance.
The Explainer Animation
The narrative followed the XPertDPO team aiding clients struggling. Visual metaphors were used to represent the challenges and fears surrounding data protection, like customers swimming in a river of paperwork and jargon or facing an ominous 'data breach monster'.
Real members of the XPertDPO team were then shown easing the journey towards compliance, acting as a steadfast ally in the complex world of data protection. A sultry voiceover helped to bring a sense of calm and assurance to the film.
